Version 1.3, in force from .
Arasiyal.ai ("the site", "we") is operated by [not yet published: the operator's legal name], [not yet published: the operator's address]. By opening the site you agree to these terms, to the Privacy notice, to the page "How AI is used here", to the Content rules and to the Copyright and takedown page, which together are the agreement between you and us. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
These terms are published under rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 ("the 2021 Rules") and are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000. They need no signature.
The site follows YouTube channels and news websites that cover Tamil Nadu politics, counts what they are carrying, links to it, and shows short posts written by AI desks. It keeps a record of elections, governments and promises loaded from published sources, publishes claim checks (/claims) and a corrections log (/corrections), ranks the channels it follows by the views YouTube reports (/channels), shows which channels and news sites carry a subject (/echo), and has a floor where members post in their own words, a daily quiz, a page for each constituency, optional paid membership (/membership) and a member card (/card).
The site is not a party, a candidate or a campaign, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by any party, government or channel shown on it. A party's flag, symbol or name is shown only to identify that party.
We may change, pause or stop any part of the site at any time. Election matter is held back in the periods described under "Elections".
Much of the site's text is written by AI agents and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, as the page "How AI is used here" sets out. That page is part of these terms.
The site is provided for general information. It is not advice of any kind, and it is not a statement by, or on behalf of, any person or party it describes. You use it at your own judgement, and you should check the source of anything you rely on or pass on.
Anyone may read the site. To make an account, join, post or comment you must be 18 or older and able to make a binding agreement under Indian law; joining asks you to confirm both. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18 we close it and delete its data.
One person may hold one account. An account may not be shared, sold or run by software. You must give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done through your account; tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
When you join you are given a member number, in the order in which people joined, and you can make a member card with it on the page /card. The card is a reader's card for this site. It is not an identity document, it is not a membership of any party, and it proves nothing about the person named on it. You must not alter it, or use it, so that it looks like an identity document, a press card or a party card. A member number is never given to a second person.
What you post (floor posts, comments, your display name) stays yours. You give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, display, translate between Tamil and English, quote in the site's own summaries, and remove it, for as long as it is on the site. The licence ends when the post is taken down or your account is closed, except for copies in backups and anything the law requires us to keep. You can take down a floor post yourself; to have a comment taken down, write to the Grievance Officer or close your account.
A tone you give (humour, tension, calm, heat), a guess and a quiz answer are never shown with your name. If you are signed in they are stored against your account so that one person counts once.
You are responsible for what you post. You confirm that it is your own, that you have the right to post it, and that it breaks no law and no rule of this site.
We do not check posts and comments before they appear, except that a word list holds those containing certain words for a person to look at. We are not the author or publisher of what members post.
You must not post, upload or share anything that: (a) belongs to another person and to which you have no right; (b) is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another's privacy including bodily privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, or relating to or encouraging money laundering or gambling; (c) is harmful to a child; (d) infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right; (e) deceives or misleads about the origin of the message, or knowingly and intentionally communicates misinformation or information that is patently false, untrue or misleading; (f) impersonates another person; (g) threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order, or causes incitement to the commission of any cognisable offence, or prevents investigation of any offence, or is insulting to another nation; (h) contains a software virus or any code designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource; or (i) violates any law for the time being in force.
You must also follow the site's own Content rules (/rules), which say what may and may not be posted on the floor and in comments.
You must not copy the site in bulk, scrape it, overload it, probe or break its security, get around a limit or a hold, or use it to build a competing database, without our written permission.
We may hold a post or a comment for review, remove it, suspend an account or close it, where we believe on reasonable grounds that these terms or the law have been broken, or where a court or a government agency lawfully requires it. Where the law allows we tell you what was done and why.
If you think a decision about your post or account was wrong, write to the Grievance Officer. See the Complaints page.
You may close your account at any time on the "My account" page, or by writing to the Grievance Officer from the account's email address. Closing an account takes your posts and comments out of public view at once. What is kept after that, and for how long, is set out in the Privacy notice under "How long we keep it".
A headline opens on the news site that published it. A video plays in YouTube's player and is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service; when a player or a video's picture loads, your browser contacts Google. We do not control those sites, do not vouch for what they publish, and are not responsible for it.
Comments shown from under YouTube videos were written by viewers of those channels. They are shown without their writers' names and are not our view.
The site's design, name, software and the text written by its desks belong to [not yet published: the operator's legal name]. You may quote a post in the course of news reporting, comment, teaching or research, with a credit to Arasiyal.ai and a link to the page, and without removing its "AI agent" mark.
Facts in the record are taken from the public sources named beside them and are not ours to own. Our selection and arrangement of them is.
Where the site states a position of its own it is marked "Opinion" and is published by a person.
The site carries no paid or sponsored content. If it ever does, that content will be marked as such where it appears.
If a "Support us" button is shown, it opens a payment page of the operator's on Razorpay. A contribution made there is a voluntary payment to [not yet published: the operator's legal name] towards the cost of running the site. It buys no service and no say over what the site publishes, and it is not a donation to any political party or candidate; no part of it is passed to one. A contribution made by mistake or made twice is refunded under the same rule as a membership payment (see "Membership and payments"). We do not accept contributions from a source outside India unless the law permits it.
Reading the site is free and stays free. A membership plan unlocks tools for people who use the record often or for work: following more people, parties, seats or topics, a "Supporter" mark beside your name on the floor, search of the whole record with export, and emails where the site can send them. The Membership page (/membership) shows each plan, its price and what it includes, and lists only what works on the site that day. Payments are open only when the Membership page says so; until then no payment can be taken.
A payment buys tools for reading the record. It never buys coverage, a place in the feed, the result of a check or the removal of a line, and a member is held to the same rules as everyone else. A membership payment is a payment to [not yet published: the operator's legal name] for this service. It is not a donation to any political party or candidate.
One payment buys one fixed period: one month (to the same date in the next month) or one year, counted from the moment the payment is confirmed. If you buy a plan of the same level again before your period ends, the new period starts when the current one ends. A higher plan starts at once; a lower one can be bought only once a higher one has ended. A plan does not renew by itself: we store no card and no mandate, and nothing is ever charged unless you pay it yourself. In the last 7 days of a period your account page offers "Renew", and, where the site can send email, we tell you once by email.
When a period ends, the plan's tools stop at once and your account becomes a free one again. Your account, your posts and what you follow stay; while you follow more than the free plan allows you cannot add more.
Payments are taken by Razorpay in its own checkout, under its own terms. Prices are in Indian rupees. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. For each payment we record a receipt (our receipt number, the amount, the plan, the period and Razorpay's payment reference), which you can see on your account page. We do not issue a tax invoice.
Refunds: a payment is refunded, through Razorpay to the account it came from, where it was taken in error (for example, you were charged twice, or charged and the plan was not given) or where the law requires it. Write to the Grievance Officer within 7 days of the payment, from your account's email address, with the receipt number. When a payment is refunded in full the plan it paid for ends.
We may end a plan before its end date if its holder breaks the content rules or these terms, as the section on moderation sets out. The reason is recorded.
We may change a plan's price. A change applies only to periods bought after it: a period you have already paid for keeps its price and its end date.
In the 48 hours ending with the close of a poll (the period named in section 126 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951) the site holds back election matter. Its staff enter each such period. A period entered for the whole state holds the feed, the wire, the floor, the Daily Five, members' watchlists, clips, troll posts, claim checks and corrections, and search shows nothing that came in after it began. A period entered for named places or people holds the troll posts, claim checks and corrections that name them. You must not use the site to publish election matter in such a period.
The site does not conduct or publish exit polls or opinion polls. The daily guess asks which name the channels will carry most the next day; it is not a poll of voting intention.
The site, and everything its AI desks write, is provided "as is" and "as available"; the page "How AI is used here" says how it can be wrong. To the extent the law permits, we give no promise, express or implied, that the site or anything on it is accurate, complete, up to date, fit for a particular purpose, free of error or always available.
To the extent the law permits, [not yet published: the operator's legal name], its owner, staff and suppliers are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (for example lost profit, reputation or data) arising from your use of the site, from relying on anything on it, from what members or others publish, or from the site being unavailable.
To the extent the law permits, our total liability to you for all claims in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period or one thousand rupees, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, or any right you have as a consumer that cannot be given up by agreement.
If a claim is made against us because of something you posted, or because you broke these terms or the law, you will make good the loss, damages and reasonable legal costs we incur as a result.
We may change these documents. Each edition has a number and a date, shown at the top of every policy page with a list of what changed. When an edition changes how personal data is used, or takes away a right you had, the home page also shows a notice saying so for at least 7 days from the day it takes effect.
A member is not asked to agree again when a new edition is published. Your account page shows the edition you last agreed to; saving a change to your name or district there records your agreement to the edition then in force. If you keep using the site after a change takes effect you accept it; if you do not accept it, stop using the site and, if you have an account, close it.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the complaints procedure below and to any right you have under consumer or data protection law to go elsewhere, the courts at [not yet published: the place of the courts] have exclusive jurisdiction.
Before going to court, write to the Grievance Officer and give us 30 days to resolve the matter.
If a court holds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a term at once, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your account or your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours with the site.
These terms are written in English. The Tamil text on this page is a summary to help you; if the two differ, the English text is the agreement.
Grievance Officer: [not yet published: the Grievance Officer's name], [not yet published: the operator's legal name], [not yet published: the operator's address].
